Students get a flavour of German culture
The German department at Worth held a party earlier this week to give students an understanding of what a traditional Christmas is like in Germany.
Students and staff were invited to take part in various activities including arts and crafts, puzzles and cookie decorating, as well as sampling some German Christmas goodies. The activity was a useful exercise in helping students develop their knowledge of a country whose language they are learning.
As well as German, the Modern Languages Department at Worth also delivers the teaching of French, Spanish, Chinese, Italian and Russian. Their aim is to engender in students an enthusiasm for the language and culture of the country concerned.
