All the Houses compete each year for the Caritas Shield which is awarded to the House which has fundraised the most throughout the year. Houses choose their own charities and adopt them for the year, organising events to raise money.
“Pupils are very proud of the contribution that they and the school make to the wider community through fundraising and the school’s social outreach programme which operates locally.” ISI Inspection 2017.
In addition to the House charities there are other school collections for different causes. Plus it has been a tradition now for some years that a team of sixth formers swim the Channel for a charity of their choice. This is something the students organise themselves and since the first group of Worth students swam the Channel in 2009 more than £70,000 has been raised for a variety of charities.
