Congratulations to Tim Davies and Will Brenninkmeyer who, with the help of fine weather, a great local guide and sheer grit and determination, completed the ascent and descent of Mont Blanc in a single day. 

Gino Carminati expressed his delight at the news.  "Huge congratulations to you both.  Everyone at Worth is very proud of your very impressive achievement.  Very well done!"

It took them 6 hours to reach the top of the Aiguille du Midi and then a further 4 hours 15 minutes to make their return trip down the mountain.  Their route for the ascent was technically more challenging than the "Gouter" route they had originally planned to take. 

"It was extremely windy during our ascent and involved crossing numerous crevasses which are a feature of the glaciers," commented Tim.  "It certainly was quite a challenge as we were faced with a significant amount of rock climbing which demanded a lot of rope work - but it did mean that all our advance training was put to very good use."
