World Book Day

The main aim of World Book Day this year is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading as well as providing them with the opportunity to own a book. In doing so, all Year 7s in the country are eligible to a free book to encourage them to enjoy books and reading.  

Worth is embracing World Book Day in the form of several initiatives, including the 'Quick Read' scheme. Alll Year 7s had a period of reflection and a talk about the importance of reading, in the LRC on the day itself and all teaching staff encouraged students to acknowledge World Book Day within lessons during the day.
